Below are videos and step-by-step directions on how to setup / troubleshoot the various Arthrex equipment.

ARTHREX TABLET

Patient Input

  1. Open applicationa and press "User, Normal"
  2. Press "New Patient" button at the top right side
  3. Input the information:
    • OR # (make sure to do Vail or)
    • Surgeon Name
    • Procedure Type
    • Patient First Name, Last Name, MRN
  4. Press "Save" or "Start Case" if you want to begin right away

You can enter multiple patients in from the beginning of the day if you choose. After hitting save you will be directed to the patient list and you can add as many patients as you need from here. Just select the patient that you need and press "Start" to begin the case when ready.


Tablet Re-Printing

  1. Press the File Icon in the top right side
  2. This will open the list of all the recent patients and you will just select one to open the old case
  3. From this page you can press "Print" to print the images that you need
  4. Select the format that you would like to print in
  5. Retrieve prints from the PACU Printer (VVSC) or from the printer outside of MOR 4 (MAIN OR)

Tablet Settings

  1. Press the gear icon on the left side of the screen to open the settings
  2. From here you can toggle from the left sidebar and change settings such as:
    • Printing Settings
    • Camera Head Button Functionality
    • Brightness and Zoom, etc...

White Balance Problems

  1. Try to manually white balance from the CCU
  2. Unplug the camera head from the box and wipe with alcohol then plug back in
    • Do this before the timer is up
  3. If none of these work then get a new camera head and repeat steps until you get one that works

Arthrex Cable Connections & Troubleshooting

  1. Look at the back of the CCU to see how all the whole box is connected
  2. Power cable plugs into the right side of the machine
  3. The accessory cables plug into the two small holes which allow for picture and video capture
  4. The SDI Cable connects to the Boom to act as a backup in the even that the encoder is not working.
  5. The Display Port cable plugs into the encoder that usually sits on top of the box itself. Make sure it is plugged into the box to ensure connection.

Setup Checklist

  1. Is the CCU on and the Patient information plugged into the tablet?
  2. Is the Arthrex video routed to all of the mobile monitors in the room and PACS on the wall monitor?
  3. Remember to press the record button for Dr. Millett after white balancing
