OR COMPUTER

Below are videos and step-by-step directions on how to use the PACS computer and the nurse's computer

PACS

  • This computer you can use to pull up the X-rays. In the MOR it is located at the back of each room while in VVSC it is located by the door
  • There are three types of PACS systems to choose from depending on the doctor or type of case:
    • PACS: This is used for the Steadman Doctors
    • VSOrtho PACS: This is for the VSO Doctors
    • ZFP: We use this one for general doctors and for trauma. Use this if you are trying to find X-rays or MRI that was taken in the ED
  • You can find the passwords for the various accounts underneath the keyboard. Docs, PA's, and ATC's will have passwords as well
  • You can also go on Youtube, Pandora, or Spotify for music using this computer

If the screen is off just press the power button to turn it off then press it again to turn it back on and it should work

Autologon Problems

Sometimes the Autologon account will get logged off and there is no password to log back in

  1. Click the Power symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen
  2. Click "Restart" on the menu to restart the computer
  3. Just sit and wait for everything to restart and the autologon account will log in by itself

Music Problems

Sometimes the music will not work and you will have fiddle with the cords that connect to the computer to get it back up and running

  • Check to make sure that the volume is NOT muted on the computer or the nurse touchpanel
  • If that does not solve the problem then look for the BLUE TAGGED cable that is plugged into the back of the computer is seated properly in the BLUE TAGGED aux port
  • If you are still having problems then try getting a new cable from the AV Office to replace the blue tagged one and plug that one in
